What is a "Total Body Workout"?
Our ShapeXpress "Total Body Workout" program quickly and effectively works every muscle group, including your heart! This proven 30-minute routine alternates between aerobic conditioning and strength training, decreasing body fat while strengthening your muscle groups. The results are a toned and lean feminine appearance, as well as a happy and healthy heart!

Our 26-station circuit features state-of-the-art equipment with dual-hydraulic cylinders and nine levels of adjustable resistance. These dual-hydraulic cylinders produce a "push/pull" motion that simultaneously exercises two different muscle groups on each machine. Adjustable resistance settings ensure an excellent workout for women of every strength level.

While making your way around our Total Body Workout circuit, you'll alternate upper body strength training exercises with aerobic recovery stations and lower body exercises, maintaining your optimum target heart rate while you perform strength training. This type of training really wasn't possible until hydraulic resistance came along. There are no weight stacks to manage or change; just safe resistance that keeps you moving smoothly and safely around our circuit. At various intervals during your Total Body Workout, our instructors and cue tapes will tell you when to move to the next station on our circuit. We'll also check your heart rate every seven-and-a-half minutes. At the end of your 30-minute routine, you will have maintained your target heart rate, performed a minimum of three sets of strength training exercises on every major muscle group and burned up to six hundred calories.
